Ben Evans confirmed speaker

Ben Evans is Senior Leadership Development Consultant for the National Church Institutions (NCIs) and is part of the Archbishops’ Advisers for Appointments and Development (AAAD) team. In a former role he headed up the Strategic Leadership Development Programme – a nationwide learning community for clergy discerning and developing towards taking on wider leadership responsibilities in the future. Ben’s remit is now to support newly appointed Dean’s in their transition into this ministry as well as all Cathedral Deans in their ongoing leadership development. Ben also works closely with the AEC with regards to training for Cathedral Chapters.

Ben has been working in learning and development for over 12 years – in both the charity and corporate sectors, including as Training Manager for The Royal British Legion and Training and Development Consultant for PA Consulting Group. He is a Fellow of the Learning & Performance Institute, an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the Institute of Directors IoD 99 Network. Ben holds an MA in Theology, Ministry and Mission and is a Licensed Lay Minister in the Diocese of London. He is also a registered test user for personality and ability assessments with the British Psychological Society and a registered instructor in Mental Health First Aid with MHFA England. Ben is married to Anna who is training for Ordination in the Church of England and they have one daughter, Evangeline, who is 6.
